Fort Worth Museum celebrates the topping-out milestone, 10/07/2008

The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History celebrated a construction milestone with a public topping out dedication, recognition of the installation of steel at the highest point of the new institution of the museum - located at the museum and the "Urban Lantern" . The dedication marked the words of president and CEO Bob Van Lansford Romans and Fort Worth Children's ballet music, culminating Linbeck construction hoisted the highest piece of steel into place. The painted steelBeams bore the signatures of hundreds of fans who had signed the museum of steel over the past two days as the U.S. and Texas flags and a peach tree, an allusion to the fact that one of the rooms is located in the courtyard Legorreta + Legorreta designed a system characteristic Peach Tree Orchard. Completion of the structure of the new museum is planned for autumn 2009.
