Bungee Video Forward Jump

I decided I had to do something crazy for my bday since I haven't in a while. It was time to bungee jump!! I had always wanted to since I went skydiving; jumping out of the plane was like jumping into a picture. There was simply no fear because depth perception does not work at that height! This time though, I was determined to do something that might make me crap my pants. Walking out onto the bridge, I noted the creakiness of the planks which had gone into disrepair. There were gaps between the walkways that lined the edges through which a small child could easily wander into and fall to their death. I looked at the pictures of the bridge and knew there was water underneath, so if the cord snapped it couldn't be too bad right? Well, it's the end of summer. The water was only inches high, revealing the rocks below. As I walked toward the van housing the bungee gear, I heard an exuberant "SHIT!!" followed by a sound which could have easily been a sheet of plywood slamming into concrete face-to-face, or a woman meeting her final fate against the unforgiving surface of a boulder below. But no, it was nothing more than the multiple bungee cords snapping taught at the trough of the jump, producing an effect much like thunder. An employee approached me and made me sign away how I wanted to die: open casket? No. Cremation? Yes. Heart problems? Dude, I'm a biker.
