Grays Harbor College Welding

A video walk through of the Grays Harbor College Welding Shop. Most of the fixtures such as tables and equipment racks have been student made. My teacher prides himself on making real knowledgable experienced welders and not just "test jockeys." He has had students fabricate several stations outside including 2G, and 6G pipe, square tube, and I-beam (wide flange beam) stands and there is a crane to fit up large pieces of iron to weld in the 5G position, and restricted access joints. There is also an elevated work station for students to prep a joint while on the ground and then it must fit to be bolted and welded in place while elevated. In this welding program you will learn to weld competently with SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW processes on steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. Stop by and see for yourself because as far as i'm concerned it is the best welding program in the country.
