Building a Metal Building

Metal buildings have become very common in the last decade. They are used not just for commercial and industrial use, but  for residential use as well. From houses to storage buildings in back yards, it seems like everybody wants a metal building. The reason a lot of people prefer construction of this nature is because the buildings are so easy and quick to put up.
If one is to build a sound metal building, some proper steps must be taken into consideration. First, a blue print must be drawn up for the  structure or purchase a pre-constructed building that has to be delivered by a large truck. Secondly, the preparation of the dirt for the foundation must adhere to the county codes.  Next, footers must then be dug out. After a substantial amount of rebar is placed in to the footers, concrete is poured into them to have block set inside. Then, it is suggested to set up batter boards to make sure that the concrete slab is poured square and level. After the concrete slab is poured, then it must be allowed to be cured or dry according to specifications. Then, it must be determined where all beams will be mounted to the slab and marked. After they have been marked, the holes in which the beams are to be mounted to the slab must then be marked. After they have been marked, the holes must be drilled into the concrete for the mounting bolts to be installed. A good sharp and new set of masonry drill bits are suggested to be used to drill theses holes.  Sometimes, the masonry drill bits become worn out from only one job. That is why it is suggested to use new bits on every construction project.
After the holes have been drilled, the mounting bolts must be placed inside these holes. After this, the beams must be placed onto the mounting bolts and have the nuts put on the bolts and tightened. In many instances, the bolts can be slightly off the specified measurements from where the holes on the beams are at.  In this case,  it's suggested to use a step drill bit to make the holes slightly larger, so that the beam will be able to slide onto the mounting bolts.  The great thing about the step drill bit is that it saves a lot of the guess work on which size drill bit should be used. Because the step drill bit is an all in one bit with the capabilities of drilling holes of multiple sizes, it will save you time and effort and will be worth any cost of purchase.  After the beams have been mounted properly, the wall mounting beams are mounted to the frame. The next step is the electrical and plumbing. The walls are then set and ready for cosmetics. After that comes the ceiling along with the floor work.  Then, lastly, all cosmetic work is done exteriorly and interiorly.  These are suggested procedures in building a metal building properly.
